Watch Out for Rootbeer, Bees, and McDonald's

So the other day, I gave in and took the kids to the germ fest (McDonald's). Why kids love this place I don't know, to me the food is nasty, it is usually pretty dirty and those awesome toys that come in the kids meals eventually end up in the garbage or broken, Ha, Ha! Excuse me for venting. Anyways, the McDonald's that we went to had an outside play area. Right on, fresh air. So the McDonald's adventure began, kids begging to play and not eat, at another table by us a little boy fell off his seat and hit his head on the concrete, his mom started crying and started sharing how motherhood isn't what she thought it would be. (Been there done that.) Oliver got a hold of Eliza's mustard napkin and had it all over his hands and clothes. After getting Oliver all cleaned up he got a hold of my water and spilled it all over. Without a drink now, I decided to take a small sip from Eliza's root beer thinking this wouldn't be any big deal. Boy was I wrong, as I started sipping through the straw I immediately felt this excruciating pain at the roof of my mouth. I also noticed that this hard thing was in my mouth that I immediately spit out. Believe it or not a bee had found its way down the straw to the root beer and had stung me. I didn't feel good at all and gathered the kids up and went home. About 5 hours later Chris came home and I told him what had happened. He looked in my mouth and said, "Honey, you still have the stinger in the roof of your mouth!" I was able to get that darn stinger out and needless to say I am not allergic to bee stings, but man I don't suggest being stung by a bee in your mouth. It hurts! So I believe we will be avoiding Mickey D's and root beer for awhile.....
