School Has Finally Started for Eliza and Lucas!!!

It has been a long summer for Eliza and Lucas wondering when school was going to start. Everyday they would ask, "Mommy is it time to start school today?" I would let them know that it wasn't starting yet, but soon. Then we would count down the months weeks and days until it finally started!!!! Lucas started his Pre-K on August 29th and Eliza started Kindergarten on September 4th. Here in Pittsburgh they have classes for 3 and 4 year old which they call Pre-K. It is an all day preschool. They eat breakfast and lunch while at school. His teachers have said that Lucas is doing very well so far... They call him the "COOL CAT" for all of the kids want to hang around him. He has really connected with a boy named Max. Every morning when I take him to school he wonders if Max will be there today. When Lucas finds him he runs up to Max and gives him a big hug. His teacher has also said that he helps keep the class under control and that he likes to have everything around him just so.... That is my OCD boy!!! Yahoo! The other day he and Max took it upon themselves to clean up all of the garbage around the playground. (So funny) Also, when I pick Lucas up and ask how his day was at school, he looks at me with disgust and says, "It was fine, but I don't want to talk about it right now. So mom can I watch Star Wars when I get home?" Such a guy already :0)!!!! He loves to play baseball with Chris and is quite good at it. Maybe he can make us rich one day! Ha, Ha! Now for Eliza, she is crazy about school and enjoys riding the Big Cheese (this is Chris' term for the school bus) She has made a lot of friends already and absolutely hates the school lunch so far. She said that she misses her bologna sandwiches and Mac-n-Cheese she would have everyday at home. I said to try school lunch a little longer and if she still doesn't like it then we can start making home lunches. She loves to help the teacher with everything. She said that the other kids don't volunteer so she does. She is helping the class learn the Pledge of Allegiance. Now Eliza doesn't have an issue playing with boys but for her to think that they would like her in a girlfriend way is not right. When she came home after her first day of school she said, "So mom, a boy came up to me today and said that he had a crush on me. I said "K" but in my mind I was thinking "Freaking, can't he even keep it a secret for one day? GEEZ" I just laughed and said Eliza you are darling and boys will have crushes on you. She said well that is gross..... Let' ask her if she thinks it's gross in a couple of years. AGGGHHHH! She is definitely a girl, she changes her outfit about 3 times every morning and if her hair isn't just so for school she is disgusted with me. I give up..... She is my Spit Firel Eliza. Ha Ha! Oh I love her. She is determined to be involved in everything. She has her list. Now mommy and daddy, I want to play soccer and after that Karate and then after that T-Ball and then Dance. How does that sound, she asks us. We feel a little overwhelmed with her list but she loves to be busy. Now for Ollie... he isn't so keen on his bottles anymore, he would rather eat his baby food and our food if I allow him. He doesn't like fruit very much, but loves his baby Mac-N-Cheese, Chicken Noodle Dinner and all of his veggies. He is kind of showing interest to crawl but not really! Who am I kidding. He would rather sit and play all day, or just in his bouncer. He absolutely loves his daddy. When Chris walks in he leans until he holds him. He is so happy and loves life. I know I say this often but it is true. As for Chris he is drowning in homework and his brain aches from studying. It is all worth it he says...... For me I am crazy as usual and really enjoying life. Enjoy these pictures and have a great day!
